🩸 DIABETES AWARENESS

Diabetes is a chronic health condition that affects how the body processes blood sugar (glucose). When not properly managed, it can lead to serious complications affecting the heart, kidneys, eyes, and nerves. Raising awareness is essential to encourage early detection and proper management.

There are two main types of diabetes: Type 1 and Type 2. Type 1 is often diagnosed in younger individuals and requires insulin therapy, while Type 2 is more common and is often linked to lifestyle factors such as poor diet and lack of physical activity. Early diagnosis plays a critical role in managing both types effectively.

Common symptoms include excessive thirst, frequent urination, fatigue, blurred vision, and slow healing of wounds. However, some individuals may not notice symptoms until the condition has progressed, making regular health screenings very important.

Managing diabetes involves a combination of healthy eating, regular exercise, medication (if prescribed), and consistent monitoring of blood sugar levels. A balanced diet with controlled carbohydrate intake helps maintain stable glucose levels.

With proper care and lifestyle adjustments, individuals living with diabetes can lead healthy and fulfilling lives. Education, awareness, and routine medical care are key to preventing complications and improving quality of life.
